#StandwithSisters with Those Facing Poverty: Sister Connie Probst

Sr. Connie fsolph webBefore we open the food pantry, we pray together to remind all of the volunteers that we strive to see the face of Christ in those we serve. Our clients include those from diverse cultures, ethnicities, and creeds. The Southside of St. Louis is a melting pot: immigrants from many parts of the world who arrive with very little. We see local people who were brought up in poverty and never learned the skills to be successful in society. Our poor include the elderly, the ill, the mentally ill, the suddenly unemployed, and the long-term unemployed who need us for support. We try to provide the necessary supplies, services, education, and hope to them all.
